Scarlett Johansson: Secret revealed



Talk about flexibility, strength or curve, our very own Scarlett Johansson, who is popularly recognised as Black Widow has it all. Johansson is an American actress who has proved her dedication for fitness in the recent past, and we hope she continues to do so. Even after becoming a mother, she did not gain excessive weight and she also gave a statement to SHAPE that she thinks breastfeeding is the best way to lose weight. She prefers full body workout than practice Yoga or Pilates. She encourages an athletic workout for the whole body and engages in strength training, endurance training and stability training. She likes to sweat a lot.

The Diet
Bobby Strom, Scarlett’s personal trainer told us that she has made a habit of eating mini meals throughout the day. It involves mostly oatmeal, vegetables, fruits and salads.
The Black widow eats a bowl of fresh berries with oatmeal and two egg omelettes regularly for her breakfast. She makes sure she eats something light when it comes to consuming food items.
She eats a quinoa with a turkey salad with some fresh onions and a glass of lemon juice regularly for her lunch.


Some almonds and apples are Scarlett’s favourite snacks, as it helps her to reduce stress, feel light and relaxed after a long day of work. Her dinner is rich in proteins as she prefers to have a steamed fish with broccoli, cabbage and red onions. She chooses to consume food that has a higher nutritional value, to give the body all the necessary means to repair any form of damage.
Scarlett likes cheese. She stated that the cheese is her greatest vice and nothing reigns over her life except cheese. It is still fascinating to see how she can maintain her physique and posture!

Her workout routine is very important when you talk about her fitness. She engages in severe and intense workout routines. Bobby Strom says he personally trained her for the 90 minute circuit workout program, a similar program which she undertook for the first time in Iron Man 2. Dumbbells, medicine balls and resistance bands are her regular feature in this workout session. This session also includes 25 to 30 reps without any rest.
Scarlett likes to perform her own stunt rather than leaving it up to Moneymaker, her stunt double. So she has to go through hardcore extensive training to strengthen her upper body and the lower body equally which makes her look even better while performing the stunts.
She gets all her flexibility from practicing MMA(Mixed Martial Arts). She shows it off in almost every scene she appeared in the Avengers. She learned hand to hand combat and other techniques with weapons which made her understand the role which she was to play. Moneymaker helped her a lot and they both dedicated six weeks for practicing all the fight scenes using MMA and some hand to hand combat and agility training. Scarlett told Vogue,“ It is very painful because you would get beat up a lot!”
When it comes to her passion and dedication towards fitness, no pain can stop her and it shouldn’t stop you too.
